The State Claims Agency hosted a virtual learning event for State authorities delegated to the Clinical Indemnity Scheme on Thursday, 23 October 2023, which focused on learning from incidents and claims.
This webinar was the first in our rolling series of ‘Clinical Risk Matters Series’ webinars. The session was attended by over 200 delegates from across the health and social care sector.
Webinar Overview
During the webinar, speakers from our Clinical Risk Unit focused on:
- updates on the work of the unit
- clinical risk snapshots relating to incidents and claims analysed by the unit
- the Clinical Indemnity Scheme, including cover provided, and sample indemnity queries
- learning from claims in maternity services, including key learning from the recent Claims Review Report: Catastrophic Claims relating to Babies in Maternity Services.
